Studying a diploma in business gives you the scope to develop a broader understanding of business organisations and practises, providing subject-specific skills and knowledge about markets, customers, finance, marketing, operations, communication, information technology and business strategy. Practical assignments set in real-life business scenarios help you learn, build skills and develop behaviours that you will use in whatever career you choose in the future.

If you are interested in learning more about the world of business and like to work in a practical way, this course will interest you. This course develops the necessary skills, knowledge, and understanding in a vocational context, building a portfolio of work. It is a practical qualification that will help you to progress to either higher education or employment in the broad business sector.
The course provides a foundation for students to develop business skills and is engaging and practical. There are 5 units in total of which 50% is externally assessed. You will be taught through a mixture of group work, teacher-led sessions and independent study to develop an understanding of how to apply subject knowledge to practical and theoretical problems. The qualification is vocational and is geared towards the skills needed in industry and aimed at universities and employers.
