Sixth Form Celebrate International Women's Day

Nottingham Academy Sixth Form Celebrated International Women's Day, Thursday 8th March

The Sixth Form Centre was a hive of activity on International Women's Day  Students discussed the Press for Progress campaign, and made their own pledges, shown in the photos below.

A group of students were also discussing labels and handed out positive labels to women and girls throughout the day, these included 'Confident' 'Articulate' 'Inspirational' and 'Miraculous'. Some of the boys commented that they felt left out, sparking debate about the many women and girls who feel left out across the world on a daily basis.

Campaigns like International Women's Day are always popular with Sixth Form, they are a great opportunity for debate and discussion, and to raise awareness of causes close to the hearts of our students.
