For the first time in many years, Nottingham Academy has staged a school production featuring students from all year groups. Thanks to the dedication of the Performing Arts Team, A Monster Calls was brought to life by a passionate group of students who devoted their Fridays and weekends to rehearsing and preparing for their performances from 10th to 13th December 2024.

A special thank you goes to Mrs Elbaz, whose unwavering support from the very beginning helped make the production a reality. Heartfelt appreciation is also extended to Ms O’Flynn, Head of Performing Arts, for her immense effort behind the scenes, ensuring everything ran smoothly.

The production would not have been complete without the talented students from the Design Club, who spent their Thursday afternoons crafting the scenery and backdrop, adding depth and atmosphere to the performance.

Finally, a huge thank you to the parents and carers of the cast, whose support with travel arrangements and encouragement during rehearsals made all the difference.

This remarkable production not only showcased the incredible talent within Nottingham Academy but also highlighted the power of collaboration and dedication across the school community.
