Expedition of a Lifetime
The Nottingham Academy Geography Department are excited to announce the Swaziland 2020 field trip. The experience will provide them with a wealth of new skills which they will find invaluable in school, at university and in the world of work.
Students will spend 18 days in Swaziland, volunteering on community conservation and construction projects, trekking across nature reserves, seeing ‘’the big 5’’ and learning about Swaziland’s diverse culture.
The trip is to take place in the last two weeks of the summer term of 2020 and is open to all students from year 9 to year 13 (i.e. if your child is currently in year 8 to year 12, then they are eligible to go), no matter what subjects they have chosen to take.
The trip is run in conjunction with True Adventure, a UK based schools expedition group who have vast experience covering school excursions across the world.
Parents of students who are interested are invited to a parents evening at Greenwood Campus on the 4th December at 6pm where Sam and Tom from True Adventure will give a presentation about the trip and more information.
Interested students will be given a letter with further information.
We look forward to meeting you then!
