Outstanding Success in UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge

Year 9 and 10 Students Shine in National Mathematics Competition
A number of our most talented mathematicians from Years 9 and 10 recently took part in the UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge in February 2025. This prestigious national competition, open to elite mathematicians in Years 9 to 11, challenges students with complex mathematical problems designed to test their problem-solving and reasoning skills.
We are delighted to announce that 23 of our students achieved impressive rankings in this year's competition. Special recognition goes to Eva and Daniel, who were awarded 'Best in Year 9', and Karya, who earned the title of 'Best in School'. Each of them achieved a silver award—a remarkable achievement in such a competitive field.
Our successful Year 10 students were: Rayan, Zaina, Libby, Kwabena, Gene, Auad, Muhammad, Dahir, and Wasif.
Our accomplished Year 9 students were: Fernando, Amaan, Oren, Nevaeh, Sidney, Selena, Viktorija, Ashhar, Mesandu, Kacper, Yara, Dawid, Hamza, Farabi, Mattia, Salahuddin, Alex, Ben, Aaryan, Ayesha, and Mariam.
The maths department is incredibly proud of all the students who participated in the challenge. Their dedication, hard work, and enthusiasm for mathematics have truly paid off, and they should be commended for their outstanding efforts. We look forward to seeing more success from our students in future competitions!
